In a close, contested match between two undefeated champions, Beterbiev came away with the victory.  WBA champion Dmitry Bivol was the faster puncher and started off well. In the middle rounds, the explosive Beterbiev started landing more and more. Beterbiev had a big round in the 11th, forcing Bivol to cover up. In the end, the judges gave the fight to Beterbiev. 114-114 even, 115-113 and 116-112 for Beterbiev. Beterbiev winner by Majority decision.
